Precision Machine Fabrication is a family-owned, ISO 9001:2015 certified sheet metal fabrication company in Raleigh, NC, producing close-tolerance parts and complex assemblies for OEMs and manufacturers across North Carolina and beyond. We were founded in 1978 by two Raleigh city firefighters who took on fabrication work on their days off, and that hands-on, do-it-right mindset still runs the shop floor today.
What began as a two-person operation in a rented 1,000-square-foot space is now a 100,000-square-foot campus with a full team of engineers, fabricators, and technicians. Nearly 40,000 square feet of that is dedicated warehouse space, which lets us offer stocking programs and just-in-time delivery so your parts are ready when your production schedule needs them, not weeks after.

Precision Machine Fabrication specializes in close-tolerance custom metal fabrication. As a contract manufacturer, we work from your designs to produce parts built to your exact specifications. We do not create original designs, but our team can help you refine an existing design for manufacturability. The parts we build range from small brackets to large cabinets, and from single-piece components to complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
Our customer base is as varied as the parts we produce. We serve manufacturers and OEMs in telecommunications, medical and pharmaceutical, electronics, power distribution, appliances, and heavy equipment, among others. That range is possible because we keep the full fabrication process in-house, so a job can move from cutting to finished assembly without leaving our facility.
Tools & Capabilities
We fabricate in steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and coated materials such as galvanized and galvanneal, in mild steel up to 1 inch, stainless up to ½ inch, and aluminum up to ⅜ inch. Cutting, punching, bending, MIG and TIG welding, CNC machining, and powder coating all run under one roof, which means one team controls tolerances across every stage and one partner is accountable for the finished part. Our engineering team pre-programs forming and cutting operations before a job reaches the floor, reducing setup time and catching problems in software rather than in scrapped material.
Because we also handle basic and electro-mechanical assembly in-house, we can deliver complete, turn-key products rather than loose components.
